10km of Sprinkler Pipework Keeping Stock Safe at Alloga

Alloga UK offers specialist storage, fulfilment and distribution services to pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical device, veterinary and consumer product manufacturing companies.
Increasing volumes of sales in recent years had prompted Alloga to build a sixth business unit at its distribution facility at Castlewood Business Park in Mansfield. The new warehouse, Amber Park 6, would significantly improve Alloga’s distribution capacity and provide much needed office space. In total there would be 50 people employed at the site.
In view of the amount and value of stock to be held at the new site, it was vital that Alloga build robust fire protection in to its fit out plans.
Alloga had worked with A & F Sprinklers in the past and was confident in appointing the team to oversee the design and installation of the new warehouse’s sprinkler system.
Over a period of 15 weeks, A & F Sprinklers delivered sprinkler protection to the warehouse roof, cut-offs over office doors and twin water supplies. An integral part of the project team, A & F Sprinklers ensured the protection it provided met all Alloga’s technical and practical requirements.

Completed in October 2016, the new ambient controlled warehouse – which contains ethical, consumer and animal health products – provides an additional 44,000 pallet spaces across the 220,000sq ft. facility. It also boasts 16 bays, 22 bay door/dock-level loading doors and a 520kva generator.
The building, equipment, stock and employees it houses all benefit from the specialist fire protection designed and installed by A & F Sprinklers which includes no less than 10km of sprinkler tubing.
