Curt, one of our esteemed Senior Project Engineers, is taking on this incredible challenge. He aims to help raise money for Prostate Cancer UK through a Just Giving page - https://buff.ly/45p5avj

Curt and his two friends are to complete the challenge on Saturday 10th through Sunday 11th of June.

This is the route the lads will be trekking.

Curt and his two friends have self-funded the challenge's £200 entry fee but want to also raise whatever they can, and as much as they can, along the way. Prostate Cancer UK is near and dear to Curt, as the father of one of his good friends died last year from prostate cancer.

They don't have a funding goal they need to hit to compete, but every penny they can raise might just push them through the final few miles.

The figures below give an indication of what certain amounts of money can provide for the charity:

⚕️£250 could pay for two days of research, bringing us closer to stopping prostate cancer from being a killer.

🔍£400 could pay to give one man a CT scan, to produce a detailed 3D image of his tumour that will help scientists know if new treatments or drugs are working.

🔬£600 could pay for a man to receive an MRI scan to show whether his treatment is working.

A message from Curt:

"I am taking on the challenge with x2 of my friends. It will be mentally & physically punishing and will push us to our breaking points. 100km (62 miles) really is a long way - not only that - 2500m elevation over the day is equivalent to Mount Snowdon 2.5x.

We are doing the challenge continuously, so no camping in between etc. We will have breaks of 20mins tops a few times over the 24 hours.

I only started hiking 20 months ago, so for me, this is something I would have never dreamed of doing just a couple of years ago. It’s going to be a massive challenge and would test anyone."

If you can, please donate and help Curt and his friends raise as much as possible.
